If your flight is delayed
If your flight is delayed, we'll notify you as soon as possible by email or text as well as in the SAS app. If you're already in the air, we'll take care of you.
Your rights in the event of a delay
If your flight is delayed by more than 2 hours, you're entitled to meals and non-alcoholic beverages based on the waiting time. Just remember to keep all your receipts.
If you need accommodations due to a delay, you're entitled to stay in a reasonably-priced hotel overnight, as well as reimbursement for transportation between the airport and the accommodations. Remember to save all receipts.
If you miss a connecting flight because of a delay, SAS will rebook you on the next available flight at no extra cost.
You're entitled to a full refund for your unused ticket if your flight is delayed by more than 5 hours and you decide not to travel. If you choose to cancel and request a refund for your flight, you won't be eligible for compensation related to the delay, such as meals, drinks or accommodations.
